How we release funds

We release funds by CHAPS, one working day before the proposed completion day. This means:

Cleared funds are available on the day of completion
Funds are paid directly into your account, meaning no cheques are needed
If the completion date is delayed, and you let us know at least two days before, we'll hold the funds and there are no cheques to return to us

Please note that a Funds Release Fee of £35 will be charged when the funds are released to you and this will be deducted from the mortgage advance.

You'll need to give us your client account bank details so we can release funds. Please let us know as soon as possible, if there are further changes to your banking arrangements.

Request redemption statement or title deeds

You can request a redemption statement and/or title deeds using our secure online form:

Redemption statements will normally be sent by the end of the next working day.

Be aware that mortgage payments will only be included in the redemption figure once the funds have fully cleared. This takes 5 working days from the date the payment is made to the mortgage account.

Redeeming by cheque

If you decide to redeem by cheque, please ensure that you use the redemption figure stated under 'Redemption payment by cheque'. You'll also need to include enough daily interest to cover for postage of the cheque.

Requesting title deeds

Title deeds will be sent out by recorded delivery on the working day following receipt of the request. We do not hold title deeds for any properties in England and Wales where the mortgage completed after January 2004.

You must be a member of our panel of conveyancers in order to request a redemption statement or title deeds using our secure online form.

If you have questions about the form, or you need help, please call 0345 166 9300.
