You may think that you can depend on Government benefits to help out. Unfortunately, this is often not the case.

No government assistance for the first two months then only 50% for the next four months. |

No government assistance for the first nine months after this, any benefits will only cover the interest. |
Even if you do qualify, any benefit payable will only be based on the interest payments on your mortgage, not endowment payments or capital repayments.
