Insuring a Buy to Let property

Buy to Let properties can be a great investment opportunity. If you buy a property to let, you'll have a lot on your mind - finding tenants, calculating rental yields, maybe appointing an agent.

Keeping your property and its contents properly protected needn't be one of the headaches. Through our relationship with Legal & General we are able to offer a policy designed specifically to suit your needs.

What's included as standard

  • Fire, smoke, explosion, flood, storm, escape of water, oil leakage, falling trees, branches or aerials, lightning, earthquake, subsidence, heave, landslip, malicious acts, vandalism and theft.
  • Replacement locks - in the event of stolen keys (up to £250).
  • Property in garages and domestic outbuildings (up to 5% of contents sum insured).
  • Home Emergency Cover* to pay for call out charges, labour, parts and materials in the event of a home emergency (up to £150).
  • Trace and access cover - to cover the costs of tracing the source of water or oil leaks and repairing walls floors and ceilings damaged during these investigations (up to £5,000).
  • External satellite receiving equipment (up to 5% of contents sum insured).
  • Accidental breakage to windows and fixed sanitaryware.
  • Your legal liability as the owner for causing injury to others or for damage to their property (up to £2 million).
  • Loss of rent following damage by an insured event (up to £50,000).
