Gary appointed Head of Branch Network at Chelsea

Gary Pickering climbs the ladder and becomes Head of Branch Network
Chelsea Building Society is delighted to announce Gary Pickering has taken on a new role at Chelsea. Gary who has worked at Chelsea for twelve years has been appointed Head of Branch Network from his previous role of Area Sales Controller of the West region. In his new role, Gary will have the responsibility of ensuring the 34 branches within the branch network deliver their business objectives.
Gary, who has worked for Chelsea for twelve years, started his career as a business development manager working with mortgage intermediaries. He then took over the responsibility of Chelsea's flagship branch in Kensington, before becoming the Area Sales Controller for the West region.
‘I love what I do’ commented Gary, ‘I am passionate about the success we have had and will have in the future. I have brilliant minds around me and I am encouraging and welcoming challenge from them. We are constantly questioning how we can improve what we do as we are aware that complacency is our biggest threat. We have the highest standards in everything that we do and maintain the paradigm that ‘everything matters’.’
Gary has recently relocated from Hampshire to Cheltenham. Gary enjoys spending his spare time with his wife Mindy and his two children, Luke (7) and Zara (2). Gary and his family have recently returned from Romania where they were involved in development work with children from deprived backgrounds. Inspired by his time in Romania Gary plans to go back there with his wife and children every six months.
