Chelsea staff head up north for Great North Run!
Two staff from Chelsea Building Society’s Head Office in Cheltenham will be heading to Gateshead this weekend to take part in the Great North Run to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Jenny Hudd and Joanne Lea have been training hard to get ready for the largest half marathon in the world. This is the second half marathon the girls have taken part in and they both hope to complete it in under two hours.
“With British Heart Foundation being Chelsea’s staff charity of the year we decided to take part in the run to help them. In order to guarantee our places we have to raise a minimum of £950, so far we have raised over £1,000 and we hope we can get that even higher by Sunday!” said Joanne Lea. “We have been training hard for months, have managed to get lots of blisters and hope our hard work pays off on Sunday”.
