Staff at Chelsea are gearing up ready for Children in Need 2007
Chelsea Building Society staff in Cheltenham have gone Children in Need crazy with a range of activities taking place at the Thirlestaine Road and Charlton Kings offices.
One department alone has already raised over £1,400 by having an office pyjama party and other activities include an old fashioned sweet shop, car washing and photo competitions.
Fantastic raffles will be running on the day and staff have the chance to win some really luxurious prizes. Aura of Beauty on Promenade Cheltenham have kindly donated several items with the star prize being a full makeover worth over £250. This includes treatments such as pedicures, hair cut and colour and a St Tropez tan. Harani Hair on Bath Road Cheltenham have also donated hair cuts and products. While lots of staff will be relaxing as a result of raffle wins, Darren Stevens, Director of Customer Services will be working hard as he offered to wash the car of one lucky raffle winner!
As always staff will be invited to dress down for the day for a £1 donation to Children in Need. Various cake sales and quizzes will be taking place from designing a uniform for our Site Services team to guess whose pet it is.
"As ever Chelsea´s staff have shown they have a really charitable spirit" said Sally Davies, CR and Community Support Officer. "Staff are really looking forward to the day and there are non stop events planned throughout the day. Let´s hope we play our part in helping Children in Need make this year their best ever!"
Chelsea´s branch on 137 High Street, Cheltenham is offering cups of tea, coffee and cakes in return for a small donation to the charity. Shoppers who wish to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the high street on Friday are more than welcome to pop in for a cuppa.
